The Moscow Food Co-op was established in 1973 and is owned by the more than 5,000 individuals and families who have joined together as Co-op members to provide themselves with organic and locally-grown foods, as well as a vital community meeting place and social hub.

You don?t have to be a member to shop at the Co-op but members do save every time an item is on sale and your member card can also be used at any of our over 30 business partners in this community. By supporting locally-owned business like the Co-op, you know your dollars are being put to good use in your community and we thank you for being part of OUR community.

The Moscow Food Co-op does so much more than simply sell healthful food:

• We create wonderful breads, meals, desserts, and salads in our deli kitchen using fresh local and organic ingredients
• We provide a marketplace for local producers, by selling local products in our store and providing an opportunity for direct sales at our mid-week growers? market
• We promote sustainability everyday with our eco-friendly store
• We offer education to our community through our newsletter, forums and classes
• Our managers represent over 96 years worth of accumulated knowledge and expertise in the natural foods industry
• We support social justice by offering only Fair Trade coffee which fairly compensates the farmer and helps protect the rain forest
• We provide a healthy work environment and strive to pay livable wages to our staff
• We are the only community-owned grocery store in North Idaho
