Deb McCormick made a "temporary" move to Moscow in 1992. She fell in love with the area and has never left.

She attended the University of Idaho College of Law and now has a general practice law office, with a focus on divorce/custody, DUI/criminal defense, real estate, and estate planning. Deb is the 2009-2010 vice president of the 2nd District Bar Association.

Because she has a strong belief that citizens would benefit from being more informed about the judicial system, she organized the 2009 Citizens' Law Academy, which is a series of free classes taught by local judges and attorneys.
