MaryJane Butters, the organic lifestyle pioneer of MaryJanesFarm, has opened a retail store, MaryJane's Sweet Dreams, in downtown Moscow at 425 South Jackson, across from the Farmers' Market.
The store managers are Lucas and Megan Rae of Moscow. Megan is MaryJane's daughter and Lucas is MaryJane's son-in-law. Lucas and Megan are also co-owners of the store. In addition, Lucas is the Genesee High School girl's basketball coach and under his guidance, his team took the state title in 2008.
MaryJane's Sweet Dreams specializes in organic bed sheets and linens plus organic chocolate. In addition, MaryJane's signature Budget Mix, ChillOver powder, seasonal fresh produce and flowers are available, as well as MaryJane's books and magazines.
MaryJane's Sweet Dreams offers high-quality organic linens, at a locally-owned downtown location, for the same price -- if not less -- than the chain retailers. In addition, the store sells the world's best artisan chocolate in 15 different flavors.
The location of MaryJane's Sweet Dreams is a former hair salon, a 320 square foot building at 425 South Jackson Street. Designated off-street parking is available at the parking lot adjacent to the store. This store is the second opened by MaryJane Butters. The first, located at the Plaza Shops at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, opened in August of 2008.
MaryJane Butters writes a nationally-syndicated newspaper column and edits a bimonthly magazine, MaryJanesFarm, from her Moscow headquarters at her farm 8 miles southeast of Moscow. Following the publication by Random House of her third book, MaryJane's Outpost: Unleashing Your Inner Wild, she is now working on three other books. The books focus on quilt making, bread baking, and diet makeovers.
