Our positive studio environment aids in development of musical abilities so that students learn faster. If you are looking for a music teacher with training, experience, and patience, our music studio is the place.

For over 13 years GTR Music Studio has specialized in private music instruction with lessons individually tailored to meet each student's needs and level of experience, beginner to advanced. Our positive studio environment aids in the development of musical abilities where the student not only learns the technical skills necessary for playing an instrument but the concepts (theory) behind musical patterns and structure.

From starting your own band, playing in school or church music groups, open mic nights, or community events, to mentoring senior high projects and prepping students for college and local competitions, to simply playing for your own enjoyment, GTR Music Studio has helped hundreds of students develop the skills and confidence to play out. At GTR Music Studio we strive to make music education fun for the student while still maintaining a structured and comprehensive approach.

GTR Music Studio provides instruction in guitar and bass, as well as music fundamentals and theory. Instruction in drums and keyboards are expected to be available soon.

Michelle Ward, owner and lead teacher at GTR Music Studio, earned a master's degree in music performance from the University of Idaho. An expert quitarist, she is proficient in a wide range of musical styles and has played professionally in a number of ensembles, including classical (Con Brio!), folk (Aurora), folk-rock (Sagin' Time) and blues (The ColdRail Blues Band).
